ASCMC ups student fees in effectively a zero inflation world, by ten dollars, per annum. The rationale they gave was due to "inflation." Maybe it's due to the thievery that goes on routinely at ASCMC events.
Could it be that they have mismanaged their money? Probably. Read The Claremont Port Side's story that shows just how inane and inappropriate our student government actually is. I salute the Port Side for writing on this, but they should have manned up and named names and come out with the story when the incident happened, which is to say 3 months ago, when it happened. They didn't, in part, because ASCMC funds them, which is definitely a conflict of interest, much as it is with The Forum.
Of course this is all stuff I have been saying since freshman year. Plus ca change, plus c'est le meme chose.
