Alan Dershowitz and Joel Pollak Mention

As some of you know, I worked for Alan Dershowitz in high school and for the summer leading up to Claremont McKenna College.

I have nothing but the warmest things to say about him and consider him one of America's greatest teachers. He was the first person, outside of my parents, to actually believe in me.

In this video, he mentions Joel Pollak and how Joel went about supplementing a course about a biased course on Israel-Palestine conflict. (Oh how someone should do that with Professor Ed Haley's class!)

Joel is running for Congress in the 9th District of Illinois against Jan Schakowsky.

Apparently, Pitzer Wants You On YouTube Now, Too!

Well, we already know that Pitzer College allows people to take hack courses in YouTube:

Now from The Hamilton Spectator, we find that Pitzer, shocker of shockers, is a "niche school."

Potential employers are not the only audiences for a video resume, made personally or professionally. More colleges are asking their students to include one with their school applications.

One of those schools is Pitzer College, a private Los Angeles-area liberal arts school. The college this year started accepting video applications, which admission director Angel Perez says are "fascinating to watch."

"One of the reasons we think this is a good idea for us is (because) we are a bit of a niche school. We want to make sure we are admitting the right students, and fit is really important to us," Perez says. "One of the things the videos have done is allow us to put a face to the name and a personality to the application. We will actually pull up the video in front of the admission committee and let it play.
