McPherson, CMC 2006, Needs Your Support!

As many of you know, my good friend and fellow CMC alumnus, Craig McPherson is running for Congress in the Third Congressional District of Kansas. Although the incumbent representative is a Democrat, he is retiring. The Washington Post ranks this District the 4th most likely to change hands this election cycle. In short, all Craig has to do is get through a GOP primary and then he has an excellent chance at becoming a United States congressman. This is a great opportunity for Claremont McKenna College, and all of us who went to school with Craig. It is rare that such a seat is so open for the taking.

Last weekend, Craig won the Third District candidate debate, and is gaining great momentum in his race. His biggest obstacle now is fundraising. 

Craig is competing against a couple well-funded opponents in the primary, but a little bit of help will go a long way for Craig, who already has more momentum among the grassroots in the District.

Please consider donating $25, $50, or $100 to Craig's campaign by the upcoming March 31st filing deadline . Then, please send this note or write your own and send it to every person you know who has attended CMC, and have them send it to everyone they know from CMC. Whether or not you are a Republican, the value of all of our degrees will increase if we can have another CMCer in Congress, so let's make it happen!
