If Your Last Name is a Bias Related Incident, Can You Still Run For Office?

This post is a bit facetious, I admit, but it's worth writing anyways.

I've seen a lot of flyers from this kid, Eli Coon CMC '14, around campus telling folks to vote for him and now he has apparently won the ASCMC election.

I don't know Eli and despite seeing his flyers everywhere, I'm not even sure I could pick him out from a line up, but I do have one question:

How did the school let someone who's last name is a bias related incident run for office? We know, after all, from the infamous tortilla incident or "Hillary is a foxy lesbian" white board that just the appearance of racism is enough to warrant the campus wide email. (I also wonder coyly and apropos of Ms. Clinton and her alleged status of a foxy lesbian, whether the truth might be a defense.)

Of course given the publicity that such an email would elicit, perhaps Eli should have ask them to do him a favor, not that he seemed to need it.

Well your last name is a little offensive too, no?

I mean it is slang for dick after all.

Yes, yes, it is. My slogan for class president in eighth grade was, "Don't be a D---. Vote for a Johnson."

That's pretty good.

For the record, I won.

There may or may not have been widespread voter fraud.

Makes sense. You look like a flaccid dick.
