Taxes, Taxes, and More Taxes

I have gotten one of those green slips of paper that says I need to settle my student accounts or else I won't be able to pre-register for classes, but unfortunately that means that my family will have to write a check for money that just isn't there. Why isn't there? Oh, that's because the goverment hasn't refunded it to us, yet. Sigh. 

I should be meeting with one of the video producers of Reason TV this week or next. Until then, here's a video of our not-very-fair tax code.
