This most recent issue of The Student Life featured a front page article about the supposed discrimination against women that the federal government is investigating.
I'm confused. I, and The Claremont Independent, have documented repeated instances of discrimination on the basis of race on several of the campuses using the same kind of disparate admisison rate statistics, and of course, there's more evidence of discrimination a larger magnitude in discrimination against Asians and whites and in favor of blacks and Hispanics than there is between men and women. Does anyone else report on it? Nope. Why not? Perhaps because political correctness stymies real debate about these issues.
I'm sure, of course, that if we look at the admissions rates between men and women at Harvey Mudd, we would also find disparate rates of admission. Is that evidence of discrimination?
