On Hub Quiz Tonight

There were well over 100 people tonight at Hub Quiz, but you know, when you read Kevin Burke's confused, overgeneralizing piece for The Forum, that no one ever goes to the dry events on campus...

We lost tonight, in large part because the Hub Quiz people deliberately wrote questions that we would not get. That's not sour grapes. That's just what a source informed me. Frankly, I'm a little glad we didn't get all the pop culture and celebrity questions right.

Still, we got 39ish questions right. The winners were at 47. I can't say I'm not disappointed, but there's always next time.

Do you really think there is a conspiracy to stop you from winning the hub quiz? What did your sources tell you? That they designed questions that would be hard for Charles Johnson?

A freshman that I am friends with told me that he overhead a conversation with Kenley in Poppa lab in which Kenley was trying to convince someone to come to Hub Quiz, only to tell her that there was no point because my team always wins.

I have told Kenley and others that we tend to do poorly in pop culture and sports. Guess which two categories featured prominently and multiple times?

The prosecution rests.

So Kenley never actually said anything about designing it to make you not win? Just that someone said that your team always won?

She admitted to me in a gchat conversation that she did as much just a few minutes ago.

Thanks.

Sorry for the lack of clarity,
Charles

I think it is important for CJ to weigh in on the Hub Quiz irregularities with the same gravity as our president's trip to Asia. Keep it up!
