Steven Hayward's talk at the Athenaeum was truly great. The Claremont Conservative has put up the audio of the entire speech, including question and answer, on our YouTube channel. For the reason as to why this isn't a video, please watch the first part.
A few quick comments: I like Hayward's discussion of how Reagan in the Part 4 or so about Reagan's constitutional amendments, the best of which is the constitutional ban on wage and price controls.
It's funny because you would think that the party that so often references the Constitution would make efforts to extend it, or, at the very least make constitutional arguments. I wonder why it is that conservatives have abandoned that tradition. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.
