There's a new cell tower going up in Irvine, CA. You can find the details here, but it's going to help all of Claremont and the colleges have better phone service.
As a Verizon customer, I've got to say that I'm excited.

There's also a new Verizon antenna on top of Fawcett.
Irvine is 50 miles away from Claremont (and there isn't a new cell tower there).

There's a new cell site. You quote the same article I linked to, via the Forum
The cell site is in Claremont atop Fawcett, not in Irvine. It's a press release from Verizon, not an article.
Irvine is in Orange County; a cell tower in Irvine wouldn't reach Claremont.
It doesn't say in the article that the cell site is in Claremont and seems as if they wrote Irvine. Do you have a link?
They wrote the article in Irvine, where Verizon Wireless has offices with thousands of employees. It's common practice in journalism to lead the article with the location it was written.
The press release is about the cell tower atop Fawcett, which was just completed. See the twitter.
