CMC: A Dri(er) Campus?

Recently an email went out to all of the campus RAs on a new policy to curb drinking on Claremont McKenna's campuses by banning outdoor beer pong (or Beirut) on Claremont McKenna's campus. The ban could go into effect as soon as this Saturday, though RAs have yet to be told how to enforce it.

From what we are told from a knowledgeable source, President Gann is upset with the Princeton Review rankings that lists Claremont McKenna 13th for "Lots of Beer" and wants to move towards a drier campus. Again, from what we are told, she sees the high number of emergency room visits for alcohol last year from the Claremont Colleges in support of that policy.
