RE: Slip Into Something More Comfortable

The most important thing to note is how ugly the naked chicks are on the flyer. There's no attempt to be sly or seductive. If the Asian/American Women Workshop wants to appeal to anyone outside their own cult of race-obsessed zombies , they should find a model who is less flabby and more sexy. Or at least cover that skank up. They could also steal a page from the feminist playbook, and learn to "love your body"--by working out more.

Pity we couldn't get a photo up to let our readers make their own decisions about how hideous that flier is.

You fucking pigs. Get a life.

Charles Johnson said...

Now, now.

That isn't very nice, anonymous.

Your post actually was disgusting. My condolences.

Clearly, people are missing the satire of Dan's post.

He's poking fun of the people who get offended at the slightest of things.

That post was hilarious!!! I think the problem with a lot of satirists in today's immoral society is that they use crass, demeaning, ad-hominen humor, which really destroys the beautiful and exalted thing that language should be. What I appreciate most is the subtlety of the humor in this post, and how it is a clear and coherent attack on ideas rather than people--no matter how flabby they may be.

Speaking of which...OMG! This one time, I saw a girl wearing a two-piece bikini! What a ho! She wasn't even that hot! If she was my woman, I'd be like, damn, use a stair-stepper, honey! If only more women would honor the principles of the founders by exercising regularly and vigorously, as I'm sure the writers of this blog do.

Oh!! Thanks Charles! See, at first I was confused at why a man of such obvious intellect would post something so boorish, but now I see that he is boldly announcing to the world that he is merely lacking in wit and delivery.

Thanks again for clearing that up, and please thank Dan. His brevity in this post has saved us from another ill-conceived way to mention Aristotle, the founders, and/or the "proper approach" to a liberal arts education.

I also had a quick question. Since all of the writers on this blog make their own posts, reply to each other's posts with new posts, and defend each other in the comments sections, when will the name of this blog be changed to the Claremont Circle-Jerk?

Thanks for the heads-up Dan--I'm glad I checked back.

Its pretty funny now.

The Man Holding You Down,

It sure is manly to post anonymously!

As for defending each other in the comment section, we do that sometimes. We don't always agree, but we're willing to listen to one another.

As for a circle jerk, you embarrass yourself with that kind of language. Check out the map of the world. We get 400 or so hits a day. Mighty big jerk circle, don't you think?

The Man Holding You Down said...

oh... i guess you didn't realize I was posting anonymously to be satirical.

See? no big deal.

Charles Johnson said...

It's called "cowardice," but claim satire if you want. We will let the readers decide.

Right... I forgot about all the bravery you display spouting coarse ideology from behind your laptop.

Although I should be fair. There was that one time you attacked David Gergen and he dressed you up in a skirt and made you play with legos. And the time you tried to congratulate David Brooks on his "eulogy" for Willaim F. Buckley, only to be quickly dismissed. And the time Illirianov bristled at your hyperbole the same way we do on a daily basis. Courageous stuff.

Lighten up buddy, it's just the slightest of things.

Charles Johnson said...

1) I don't generally use my laptop when I'm posting. It's all P.C most of the time.

2) I never attacked David Gergen, although he did go after me personally and questioned my motives for being at Claremont McKenna. I've already responded to what Gergen said numerous times on this blog.

3) You are totally off-base with David Brooks. I spoke with him for an hour or so before his presentation about Buckley with the Salvatori Center. By the way, a eulogy means simply a speech given in praise of a person or thing. It doesn't necessarily have to be funeral-related. As for quickly dismissed, I checked the Ath video and it's at least a few minutes where he spends most of the time talking about why he isn't a libertarian, Milton Friedman, and marshmallows.

4) Illiarinov is actually a big fan of the blog. He agreed with me that it is an embarassment that this country that calls itself the land of the free doesn't have a flat tax at the Salvatori discussion that followed. I'm sure Aditya can put up the photo of us with Illiarinov.

You're still a coward. I risk my reputation and my career because I believe in the principles that founded this college. I've been rewarded with jobs at the New York Sun and the Kauffman Foundation and RedBlueAmerica.com. Those are the tangible products of risking your reputation to try to achieve something great. I suggest you come out of the shadows, if you actually believe your own socialism.

Many people do that on this blog and though we may not agree, they at least have their self-respect and meet me and the other contributors as equals. Why don't you?

The Man Holding You Down said...

Haha, no way. If you're going to build a stage and grow an audience, then I'm afraid you aren't entitled to the identity of the person who just threw a tomato at you. Plus, It's more fun to see you actually fighting ghosts.

Also, I contacted the guys over at Guinness and they said that your 400 person daily circle jerk might indeed be a record, and given proper documentation they might be willing to give you greater fame and compensation than you'll ever receive from those fine journalistic establishments you mentioned.

Just remember, this is all satire designed to make fun of arrogant bloggers who easily get offended and will probably have to live most of their professional lives dealing with the consequences of the way they portrayed the rigid ideology they chose as a teenager. It's all tongue and cheek and is not designed to offend you personally.

Charles Johnson said...

Whose offended? I'm not fighting a ghost, I'm arguing with a coward and
I'm just defending my good name.

I think I'll pass on the Guinness Book of World Records. But I'm sure if you go to ASCMC and ask for it, you can get a very different kind of Guinness. You may have already drunk a bit too many.

If you want to insult arrogant bloggers, you've found your target in me, to be sure. I don't believe self-interest is something bad. Instead, I revel in it. I take pride in my name and my work, which is in part, why I disdain the liberal impulse to steal from me to pay for their social engineering programs.

As for "rigid ideology," I find it very interesting that anyone who has a different viewpoint is automatically labeled as "rigid," but I imagine that those who cannot use reason must use labels, and so I don't blame you for resorting to the tactics that you've chosen.

As for damaging my career, I think I'm doing a great job damaging it and may even accelerate the damage all the way to the bank.

"Whose Offended?"

someone might need another Pitney class.

Charles Johnson said...

Yeah. I know, I know.

SumPhatAznChk said...

Oh sorry ChuckieJo! That was my offended.

Please do damage your career to the bank...just more money for liberal social programs. I love programs, mostly because I'm a devoted communist who hates ideas and freedom. I also am a gay. And multiracial. My three moms are all Inuit. LOVE MAKES A FAMILY! The two parent model is so rigid, dontcha think?

Sorry if this is a little low-brow...usually the blog is high in the realm of ideas...like how Asian chicks should tone up.

I thought I'd give some satire a try, too before I sign off. ChuckieJo, you have beautiful ginger locks. They frame your chiseled facial features and draw attention to your limpid cow eyes.
